Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim

Palestine is a sacred land that belongs to the Muslim Ummah, and its liberation is an obligation upon the Ummah. In this blog post, we will discuss 10 practical steps that Muslims must take to help towards the liberation of Palestine.

(1) Importance of Palestine

Really understand as a Muslim – why Palestine is important and its liberation (like all occupied Muslim land) is an obligation commanded by hukm shari’i. Understand its spiritual significance. Teach this to your family, children and community at large – to immunise against what comes across in media and educational indoctrination to facilitate acceptance of the cancerous genocidal state.

(2) Praise for our Palestinian Brothers and Sisters

Do not shy away from praising our brothers and sisters in Palestine for their steadfastness in Deen, their tawakkul and their love for Islam in the face of merciless genocidal onslaught and propaganda by the kafir regimes and those affiliated with them. They should be mentioned as role models for the Ummah. The resistance of Muslims should always be praised and supported.

(3) Call to the Muslim Armies!

Call upon and remind the Muslim armies in the immediate vicinity to fulfil their purpose and achieve a historical victory like no other! If a small group with limited means can put up a challenge to a U.S. backed nuclear state what would the armies be able to achieve with the Ummah behind them? Remind them of the honour that awaits them with Allah (SWT) and the disgrace for their intransigence and inaction.

(4) Call out the Muslim Rulers

Realise and educate the Ummah that the rulers of the Muslim lands are the first line of defence for the murdering and usurping state. If they are removed then their shadow will disappear. Be relentless in your pursuit for this change – build public opinion for it. Silence and apathy is not an option.

(5) UN and International Community are Complicit

Appreciate that the UN and international bodies are constructs that only exist to provide the pretence of “accountability” whilst in actual fact the U.S. acts unilaterally and its allies act without impunity as it relates to its crimes against Muslims – unless it is in their interests to do so. Reflect on Palestine, Iraq, Syria, Burma, Libya, Uighur etc. Muslims must look to their own for the kuffar are helpers to one another.

(6) ‘Two-State Solution’ is a Political Trap

Do not let the Kuffar deviate the ummah from the path of liberation to their “Two-State Solution”. That solution apportions a meagre proportion of entire Palestine back (secularising the cause to a nationalistic one) and internationalises “Jerusalem”. Once internationalised – it would make the countries of the world owners of Jerusalem (and Al-Aqsa) collectively, meaning the Ummah would have to fight the world rather than “Israel” to retrieve its rightful ownership. These are a couple of many traps the kuffar have laid with the munafiqeen, fully aware of what they plan with them.

(7) Unify under a Single Banner!

Muslims must work towards uniting under Islam (with a Khilafah state) to the exclusion of any other banner so that its human capital and resources will be used in its interests and of Islam’s interests – not to protect the interests of the kuffar and munafiqeen. How this can be achieved according to Quran and Sunnah requires the focus of our and the Ulema’s discussions, khutbah’s etc.

(8) Du’a and Qunoot as a Reminder

Request the Masjids to perform Qunoot during Isha and Fajr supplicating for the defeat of the oppressors and the victory of the Muslims in the occupied lands and elsewhere. Galvanise the Muslims and unify them using the Jumu’ah khutbah, rallying them round the cause of Palestine and ultimately behind Islam. Remind the Imams in the Masjids and their duty to their brethren.

(9) Reject any form of Normalisation!

Warn people against the mischievous aims behind the Abraham Accords and similar interfaith initiatives to equate Islam (Truth) with other beliefs (Falsehood). The most recent attempts coming under the guise of an Abrahamic brotherhood! The entire normalisation effort was pushed by government scholars speaking towards this narrative.

(10) Rally behind the Real Ulema and Imaam’s

The genuine scholars and imam’s of the Ummah can be distinguished from those who have nothing but prayers and charity to offer, as they will not shy away from stating that Jihad is the command of Allah (SWT) to liberate Palestine and demand the Ummah’s armies, whose weapons have been rusting, to perform their duty.

Calling for anything less than that is not befitting for anyone who proclaims Laa illaaha ill-Allah Muhammadur Rasuul Allah. Remind them of this – for the reminder benefits the believer.

And what is it with you? That you do not fight in the way of Allah, and for the oppressed among men, women and children who say, “Our Lord, take us out from this town whose people are cruel, and make for us a supporter from Your own, and make for us a helper from Your own.”

(Surah An-Nisa; 4:75)
