“Say, “O Allah! owner of authority, You give authority to whom You will, and You take away authority from whom You will, and You give the might to whom You will and You disgrace whom You will, in Your hand is good, You certainly have power over everything”.
(Surah Al-‘Imran; 3:26)
Since the creation of man, Allah (SWT) has given peoples and nations power and authority over others. Mankind has sensed many powerful nations who have come and gone throughout history such as the Romans, Persians, Byzantines, Mongols, British, French, Russians to name a few.
Since nations are built upon the thoughts of men, their collapse nor demise occurs until their thought within society declines, and as a result are overtaken by another state. A state is only as strong and powerful as the thoughts the people carry and since thoughts are prone to decline, it is a rational observation no nation remains in authority for unlimited time as all nations have a lifespan. This phenomenon is not only applicable to non-Muslims, but to Muslim powers too such as the Mughals, and in particular the Uthmani Khilafah which the Muslims lost having ruled for many centuries being overtaken by European powers. Having removed the European powers from the number one position, the sole superpower of today is the United States without a challenger as an alternative to global leadership.
As a result of losing our political state i.e. the Khilafah state, which unified the Muslims under one banner and one Imaam, we witness today the disgraceful and humiliating conditions the Muslims find themselves in where over 2 billion Muslims are unable to provide one water bottle to the Muslims of Gaza without first gaining permission from the disbelievers!
I am sure everyone reading this is well aware of the atrocities and slaughter the Muslims of Palestine are having to endure so I will not list them. But what I will say is when we leave our plight in the hands of those supporting the oppressors, we will no doubt face humiliation after humiliation.
When the U.S. Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken visited the occupying entity after endorsing its right to commit crimes and atrocities, he said, “As long as there is a United States, Israel will never be alone”. This is a reflection on how low the Muslims have fallen. We are talking about an entity which is unable to protect nor defend itself without relying upon an external entity and the surrounding regimes for its survival. Yet it is in a position to massacre the Muslims and desecrate Al-Aqsa Masjid.
As for the collaborating regimes, Allah says in the Qur’an:
“The parable of those who take protectors other than Allah is that of a spider spinning a shelter. And the flimsiest of all shelters is certainly that of a spider, if only they knew.“
(Surah Al-‘Ankabut; 29:41)
This is an applicable example given by Allah, the Almighty, of those who take others besides Allah to assist them, provide for them and turn to them in all matters. In this regard, they are like the spider’s house. They look strong and powerful but in reality they are weak and can be destroyed very easily. Those who takes allies other than Allah, are living in a spider’s web. Had they known this, they would not have taken protectors other than Allah as only Allah is the one who protects. This is unlike the Muslim who has grasped the most trustworthy handle, the one that never breaks because of its strength and stability.
If we sincerely want the massacring and killing of the Muslims of Palestine to permanently stop, we must work towards bringing our rightful state back into existence and only then will Allah (SWT) give us the authority and dignity. However, this comes with conditions which must to be met first as authority, honour and dignity does not fall from the sky into our laps but with a continuous struggle in order to attain Allah’s pleasure for the next life.
Continuous struggle is not seeking assistance nor adopting solutions from anything else such as from the U.N., writing to local MPs or signing of petitions to lobby the governments etc. as this is working within the framework of the colonialists who have given the green light to the occupying entity to massacre the Muslims of Palestine.
Note the original Ayah above from Surah Al-‘Imran links honour and dignity with authority, as without authority the Muslims will constantly be abused and humiliated. So the continuous struggle is to participate in the da’wah to return the authority to the Muslims, to intellectually elevate the Muslims and make the Aqeedah the basis of our lives.
We must understand the Deen is not just about rituals or a spiritual relationship between the servant and his Creator like Christianity, Judaism or Hinduism, but it is a comprehensive Deen which has rules and systems to solve all of mans problems. Therefore, the Islamic Aqeedah is both spiritual and political and Allah (SWT) does not give authority to nations who only carry a spiritual Aqeedah, but to nations who have a comprehensive Aqeedah which is one of expansionism, preservation and implementation. Once we have this crystallised understanding we will find the situation changing and a state will emerge challenging the current status quo and removing their dependents. Only then will Allah (SWT) give Muslims their rightful authority and honour to reverse the dire and desperate situation the Muslims find themselves under.
